Naming people is hard!

Okay, so I created a poll with some of the names we've been debating (you guys, we have GOT to think of a name, because we start talking about it late at night and the next thing you know it's 1 am and we're arguing over the relative merits of Telemachus vs. Othello.  I'm not kidding; that was a real conversation.  Also Aeneas.  And Ulysses).

Please take the poll--it's in the sidebar!  And if you hate all those names, or you have a better idea, please please tell me in the comments on this post.

if you like the sound of the names all pretty much the same amount, maybe look at their meanings and see which one you like the best? i always liked having a name that means something cool

Yeah, but we don't like them all the same--Neil likes some and hates some and I like some and hate some. We need mediators. :-)

It was never hard for me to name people until this last one-- that was hard, so I totally understand! I love Rafe-- that was on my list. Good luck!

I like Nathan and Oliver the best & I think they go best with your other kids names. Oliver got my vote though.

What about Theodore or Elliot ?

We love the name Sean which means "God is gracious" and "gift from God".
Love,
Aunt Pam & Uncle Kevin

Hmm. I really like Sean and Oliver, so those are my votes just going by the names, but I think Nathan goes best with your other kids' names. I fear the day we have to name a boy. It took us until the day my daughter was born to pick her name... a boy might never get named!

I agree that Nathan goes well with your family names. I have a nephew named Nathan...and he goes by Nate. I love that. I also really like Oliver. Hard decision! Sean is also a good solid name. Not too popular, but just solid and nice. GOOD LUCK!

Have you thought of Archer?...otherwise Nathan isn't overly popular but still fairly traditional.

Also, I was looking through boy baby names online, and this one looked fun..
Sassacus \s(a)-ssa-cus\ as a boy's name is of Native American Indian origin, and the meaning of Sassacus is "wild man".

I just think it's fun to say. :)
But in all seriousess, I think Elliot is a cool name..it means "the lord is my God"
