Yellowstone 2020

We've been here a million times and it never gets old.

One thing that was different this time--you could absolutely tell that the wildlife had gotten very comfortable with the park closure and reduced numbers of visitors.

Can you spot the bear?

We must have watched him for an hour.

So so so many pictures of our family at this spot at Artist's Point. I have some of them compiled on Instagram and it's a pretty neat way to watch our family grow and grow up. I'm working on an oil painting from this vantage point because it really is a special place to my heart.

Matthew was worried that there really WAS a dragon at Dragon's Mouth, so he clutched Nathan's hand tightly the whole time.

Love this valley view. Surprisingly there were no buffalo at this spot this time--they're usually everywhere and last time they kept crossing the boardwalk in front of us!

We hiked up above Artist's Point (sorry, can't remember the name of the trail) and it was crazy beautiful and also crazy scary with Matty.

The kids took the whole "collect downed wood" thing VERY seriously.

Our favorite falls access was closed, but we made do!

Oh my goodness, I was laughing SO hard at these signs! Can you see the bottom part where it shows how far you should stay from each type of wildlife? These signs are everywhere at Yellowstone and I just loved that they added people to them. So so good.
