Thank you!

My wonderful G'ma Colleen has always emphasized to me the importance of thank you notes. She has trained me so well that I always have an uncomfortable jittery feeling until my thank yous are in the mail (or hand-delivered, if I'm low on stamps!) And I always love opening up a thank you note addressed to me--number one, it's nice to know that whatever it was actually made it to the recipient; number two, it's nice to feel appreciated.

Right now I have a running list on my 'fridge of thank you notes that need to be written (I try to stay fairly on top of things, but we have been blessed with an outpouring of wonderful acts of service and gifts with Juliet's birth!) and while I was working my way down the list today, I was reflecting on how blessed I am in general in my life. I've been thinking about this most of the day, and when I was reading stories to the girls this afternoon with Abigail snuggled up on one side and Juliet asleep on my shoulder I was just incredibly grateful for my two healthy beautiful girls and my wonderful husband who is so appreciative of the role of motherhood. So thank you to them and for them!
