clarification: today really wasn't TOO awful. no major catastophes or big crises, just a lot of little things that sort of piled up, and a lot of things I've been putting off stressing about that I decided I needed to start researching/worrying about again (like insurance, new budget for when I'm not working, fellowships, etc.).

today i am very grateful for an understanding husband who comes home and makes things better. and i am grateful for the chance we had to take a walk as a family over to water our friends' garden. and i am extra super grateful to my friend kathleen for bringing her daughter mia over and keeping abigail occupied this afternoon while i had a chance to relax and just talk with kathleen and not worry about entertaining a grumpy two-year-old!
