• the highly recommended very-in-demand pediatrician who graciously responded to my pleading letter by calling up and telling me she would be willing to add Abigail to her (already full!) panel of patients.
• neil, for taking one look at me when he came home and sending me to our room to lie down for half an hour while he took charge of the little screamer and saved the sanity of both of the girls in his life
