Whew this is a lot of blog catchup!!!
We went to the OBX in the summer of 2018--if I recall correctly this trip was just a couple of weeks before Ruth was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer. That was a pretty rough summer after that and I was so grateful we had this time together right before she received her diagnosis. This was also the first time we met Mary Beth's (then girlfriend, now wife) Julie so that was pretty momentous!!
Also--guys, we have got to stop taking "just out of the pool" pics as our most recent family pictures!
This was our first time in the OBX and it was so fun! We had some hurricane-ish weather the last couple of days but nothing like the previous year in Destin--just enough that the temperatures dropped and it was fun walking along the beach in a jacket.

Also please note that the day that Chris, Rosalind, Neil, and I went for a long run in the morning was literally the hottest day that we were there, and the temperature dropped about 15 degrees through the course of the morning, so sometimes the early bird is just a fool.

Beach snacks!! Rosalind passed me one of these puppies and I was like does heaven get better than this?

Speaking of heaven, this was the trip of ALL THE BABIES for me. Matthew, Iris, and Idris all crammed on my lap in this pic and I couldn't be happier!

Probably shouldn't haven taken a photo in church but Iris was so cute (and Chris did such a great photobomb)

Guys apparently I really went all in on the photo-taking (I love how none of us actually had our own kids in church).

Then after church Paxton somehow MAGICALLY got these pictures which I love so much, and it's seriously a testament to his skill that he managed to coax this out of a handful of grumpy hot children who wanted nothing more than swimsuits and sand.

One day Neil & I went parasailing with my dad, Elise, and Paxton. I have a video on my phone of my dad's delighted yell as he lifted off the boat that I will never ever delete and watch fairly regularly. My dad is seriously such a fun guy.
Can't remember why Neil was riding up in the elevator but apparently we thought it was funny...I'm guessing he was cooking something by the pool and then went up to the kitchen?

Let's transition to beach stuff, shall we? Here's Matthew eating his umpteenth million Oreo, filling only, put the cookies back for someone else.

Nathan fell asleep next to me one day and I was like "oh, so cute, he's worn himself out playing" and then when we got back to the house he threw up all over his feet. Poor guy!! Addie had a stomach bug the first day and it slowly went through everyone else (most of us had it on the way home at the end of the week...at least we got through the week!).

Some fun cousin games...

Chris makes DANG good cupcakes.
