Five for February

I kept thinking over the last couple months that I should blog but told myself I would do it regularly in February for the Five for February thing...so here I finally am, only 3 days late.

Five good things today:
1) Nathan threw up last night but NOT on the carpet/his bed which was a huge tender mercy (Neil is out of town and last week Nathan threw up a ton and it was definitely a 2-person cleanup job). I realize this seems a little back-handed as a good thing, but trust me--it was.

2) I got my whole workout in! I was originally planning to do a very shortened version since I was signed up to help at the local bishop's storehouse, but thanks to Nathan staying home from school I had to cancel at the storehouse--which means I had time to do the whole thing (I've been doing a lot more strength-training which means a lot more time). 

3) This is from yesterday (but obvs I didn't blog yesterday) but my kids took their scooters to piano lessons last night, and I was just thinking how awesome it is that they get super excited about playing with their piano teacher's kids, and we had crazy gorgeous weather yesterday (60s!!) which meant that everyone was blissfully wheeling through the neighborhood. 

4) I gave Matthew a haircut last weekend which makes him look so much cuter to me (please tell me I'm not the only one who can keep my cool longer with my kids if they look cared-for as opposed to looking like they just crawled out of the sewer). 

5) I went to Costco WITH the little boys this morning and only spent $200 (sadly, I did not buy them the 6-foot portable fireplace that both of them were pleading for. I know, I know...).
